Passkey

In one sentence: A passkey is a way to sign in with your fingerprint, face or phone screen lock, instead of a password.

Why it matters: A passkey is tied to the real website, so it is built to resist fake sites. There is no password to remember, type or give away. A passkey has limits. Anyone who can unlock your device may be able to use it, so keep your screen lock on.

One thing to do: Open your main email account settings and look for a passkey option. Create one only on a device you own.
